Reed Diffuser Etiquette

We love our diffusers and we want you to love them too. There are a few things you need to know to get the very best out of your diffuser.

  • The diffuser bottle contains a flammable liquid so please do not light the reeds.
  • Do not ingest and keep out of the reach of children and animals.
  • We do recommend that people perfume sensitivity should be cautious when using any fragrance diffuser.
  • Unscrew the top of the diffuser bottle and, very carefully, remove the travel plug. It is very tight to prevent leaks so do be careful. Use a cloth or some kitchen towel to keep the liquid away from your hands, or use gloves.
  • Replace the screw-on cap and place the reeds into the container. It will take 24 hours for the reeds to draw up enough fragrance to start filling the room.
  • Under normal use, the diffuser should last 2-3 months but this depends on environmental factors such as direct sunlight, humidity and room temperature. Keep out of direct sunlight to minimise unnecessary evaporation.
  • The base diffuser liquid is not considered harmful but we do recommend that the diffuser is not placed directly onto polished, painted, plastic or leather surfaces as it is possible that the liquid may cause damage to certain materials.
  • Our reeds do not require turning to keep delivering fragrance.
