Q: What is tunneling?
A: Tunneling is when a candle only burns around the wick and the wax never melts to the edge of the jar. This can happen if you didn’t burn your candle for long enough. You may get very slight tunneling, and this can tend to resolve itself once the candle burns down the jar. There can be times though where the tunneling just keep worsening. Once this happens it can be tricky to fix, so we do recommend that on your first burn you always make sure to burn your jar candle for 4 hours. Subsequent burns should be 2-4 hours.
